Terms of Service

Using the service

Downlink helps you plan drone missions and run your drone-services business. You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for the accuracy of the data you enter. Use the service lawfully and don't attempt to disrupt it or access other accounts' data.

You are the pilot in command

This is important. Downlink is planning software. It does not fly your aircraft and is not an authorization to fly. Airspace verdicts, weather windows, and mission files are advisory tools to assist your planning. You remain solely responsible for complying with all FAA regulations (including Part 107, LAANC authorizations, and TFRs), for verifying airspace and conditions before every flight, for confirming any exported mission file behaves correctly with your specific aircraft before commercial use, and for operating safely. Always verify independently and never rely on the app as your sole source of truth.

Subscriptions & payment

Free and paid plans are described on the pricing page. Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe and renew until cancelled. Cancel anytime through the customer portal; you keep paid features until the end of the billing period, then move to the Free plan. Client payments you collect flow through your own Stripe account — we are not a party to them.

Your data & content

You own the data you enter. You grant us the limited rights needed to store and display it back to you across your devices. You can export it or request deletion at any time.

Warranty & liability

The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from flights, exported mission files, airspace or weather advisories, or business decisions made using the app. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior twelve months.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves; material changes will be posted here. Continued use means you accept the current terms.

This is a plain-language starter agreement. Have it reviewed by counsel and tailored to your jurisdiction before public launch — especially the liability and pilot-responsibility sections, which matter for an aviation-adjacent tool.
